# Connect Your Wallet

**Securely enter Harvest Vale on the correct network.** Harvest Vale uses a compatible **EVM wallet** for account authentication and is set to use **Robinhood Chain Mainnet** for its active wallet interactions.

**SUPPORTED GAMEPLAY NETWORK: Robinhood Chain Mainnet only — Chain ID 4663.** Robinhood Chain Testnet is defined in the development code but **is not the active gameplay network**. Other chains are not supported for Harvest Vale sign-in.

## 1. Robinhood Chain Mainnet — Add Network Manually

Enter these values in a wallet that supports custom EVM networks, such as MetaMask.

**Important:** ETH is the **native gas currency** on Robinhood Chain. **VALE, USDG, Gold, and Vale Vouchers are not the network's native gas currency.**

## 2. Supported vs. Non-Gameplay Networks

**Do not confuse Testnet Chain ID 46630 with Mainnet Chain ID 4663.** Both use ETH as their native currency symbol but represent different networks.

## 3. Step-by-Step: Connect and Sign In

### Open the Harvest Vale Welcome Screen

Allow game resources to load, then choose **PRESS ANY KEY / TAP TO LOGIN** when the game is ready. On mobile, switch to landscape orientation if required.

### Connect Your EVM Wallet

Use the game's wallet connection button. The sign-in UI integrates **RainbowKit, Wagmi, and Viem** and presents supported wallet connectors.

### Verify or Add Robinhood Chain

Select **Robinhood Chain Mainnet**. If your wallet does not have it saved, use the manual network table above or approve the wallet's add/switch-network prompt. Harvest Vale requests a switch to **Chain ID 4663** when you are connected to another chain.

### Sign the Login Challenge

Select **ENTER HARVEST VALE**. The game requests a one-time login challenge and asks your wallet to **sign a message**. Review the request and approve only if it matches the intended game sign-in.

### Continue Your Adventure or Create a Character

After signature verification, an existing matching account may offer **CONTINUE ADVENTURE**. First-time players proceed through the character registration flow.

## 4. Wallet Signature vs. Blockchain Transaction

| Wallet Prompt                        | What It Means                                                                             |
| ------------------------------------ | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Sign Message**                     | Proves control of your wallet for login; **does not itself send a transfer or spend gas** |
| **Switch Network**                   | Changes the selected blockchain in your wallet; no game payment is implied                |
| **Approve Token / Send Transaction** | A separate blockchain action; **not required for normal wallet sign-in**                  |
| **Reveal Seed Phrase / Private Key** | **Never required. Do not disclose these secrets.**                                        |

## 5. Troubleshooting Network and Login

<summary>My wallet says the network is unsupported.</summary>

Check the connected chain ID. The game requires **4663**. Add Robinhood Chain using the network values above, then switch networks and retry. Check that your wallet supports custom EVM chains.

<summary>My wallet cannot connect to the RPC.</summary>

Verify that the RPC is typed exactly as `https://rpc.mainnet.chain.robinhood.com`. Retry the wallet connection, or consult the official Robinhood documentation for network status. Avoid unverified third-party RPC links.

<details>

<summary>I connected successfully but cannot enter the game.</summary>

A connected wallet is not the same as an authenticated game session. Select **ENTER HARVEST VALE** and complete the message-signature challenge. A prior account may instead display **CONTINUE ADVENTURE**.

<details>

<summary>Will signing in cost ETH?</summary>

The supported login flow uses a **message signature**, not a token transfer or blockchain purchase. ETH can still be needed for unrelated on-chain transactions when those features are available, but it is **not consumed by the login signature**.

<summary>Why does another wallet show a different character?</summary>

Each wallet address identifies its own game account. Connecting another address does not transfer the existing character or farm to it.
